Philanthropy

The AOII national philanthropy is the Arthritis Foundation, but the Pi Delta chapter works most closely with supporting juvenile arthritis. We host a multitude of philanthropy events throughout the course of the year.

Rose Ball: This is out biggest philanthropy event of the year. Either a brunch, lunch or dinner, Rose Ball has guest speakers as well as a silent auction and live music.

Ballpark Bites: This event was created to simulate a casual ballgame restaurant. With light ballpark food, guests have a wonderful time getting a bite to eat inside our house, decked out in our favorite baseball decorations.

Rose Sale: On Valentine's Day, the sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi host a Rose Sale to benefit the Arthritis Foundation for people in the UMD community to buy roses for the ones they love.

Pie a Pi: Some choose to buy whipped cream pies, and others choose to buy mayo pies to pie their friends in the face with! On our front lawn, this event is one of our most high-energy events of the year.

Alpha Cup: This event is a simulated horse race! Our guests come decked out in their favorite derby attire. We have a dunk tank, bracketing and pulled pork!
